Hard to believe they will be out there in their own sub-hoods, living in their own little houses and having kids of their own. Yes, the first generation of Simski's have come to a place in life where they pass over the torch of being in those early adult years to their kids, sitting back to watch them forge careers, save up simoleons and have those precious bundles of joy!
We haven't quite entered the Golden Years yet, but we have most certainly arrived to middle aged and are marching evermore closer to that golden horizon ahead.
This update showcases our Simski kids that have graduated!
Dominic Simski graduating!
Yep, Dominic was one of the last to graduate out of the first group to attend college. He struggled some but ended up on the Dean's List with Honors.
After Dominic graduated we had our first set of Simski kids graduate from the second group that went to college. That would be Harley, Sheyenne, Helen and Autumn. They all landed a spot on the Dean's List, graduating at the top of their class.
Harley and Sheyenne may have spent most of their time in college poo-pooing the "fun" college campus social scene in order to be alone together but they never allowed their grades to come second.
I don't think anyone was surprised that the night before their graduation, Harley popped the question to Sheyenne.
Of course Sheyenne said yes!
When it came time to graduate,
they couldn't call up the taxi and get off that campus quick enough!
Harley was the first to go.
He smiled like this all the way to the taxi
with a thought bubble over his head with Sheyenne's pix in it!
Then it was Sheyenne's turn.
This is the first time I've ever had a graduate
end up wearing nothing but a TOWEL when they left campus!
Harley and Sheyenne have plans to live in a sub-hood called Sugar Pine Bay -
it's right up near where the Sugar Pine Homestead is but closer to the water.
They aren't in a huge rush to get married but don't want to wait too long -
and no, they have NOT woo-hoo'd yet!
They are insisting on having a small, "next-to-nature" wedding with just their parents and siblings. I know that is a disappointment to many but they'll get a big, fat wedding with all the frills when Lily and Sheldon get married, (which will be before Harley and Sheyenne).
Next to graduate was Helen!
Helen got excellent grades and had a lot of friends on campus but for some odd reason she just couldn't seem to find a sweetheart. All the guy Sims that she met bored her and she couldn't get much more than a 2 bolt attraction, (if that,..) with any of them. She never wanted to pursue much more than a casual friendship with any of them.
So Helen ended up studying a lot and kinda ate a lot too -
she LOVES to cook, but with as much time she spent working out and jogging she was lucky to not gain any weight.
Hunter and Joon were getting concerned that Helen would end up graduating college and not have a steady fella, which was okay with Helen. She wasn't all that bothered by it but it did cause a little worry for Hunter and he stopped by to see her on campus often.
He came to really hate the mascots
And he was kinda bothered by the fact
that Helen didn't mind not having a steady boyfriend.
But the two of them never discussed the subject for very long as Helen wouldn't allow it - not having a boyfriend was no big deal to her and she saw no need to worry about it or stress over it.
She was having a great time in college and she figured she'd meet someone once she was out of college. She got to be very good at putting Hunter's mind to rest whenever he started bugging her about it. She wanted to do other fun stuff when he was there to visit - like tickling!
It meant a lot to Helen when her dad came so far to visit her
and she always missed him terribly when he left.
Not long before Helen was due to graduate,
her world turned totally upside down -
all because of THIS Sim!
This is Marcell Fiorello
Marcell is the brother to Adriana Fiorello
and the son of Primo and Isabella.
(Remember, I play a 100 year old Pleasantview)
So basically down the road -
he's the intended uncle to Don Lothario
Helen went totally bonkers over Marcell!
The two of them had an instant 3 bolt attraction
and Helen was bent on having Marcell as HER MAN!
And Marcell was just as smitten with Helen!
But there were 2 new students in the dorm house
that had just as much interest in Marcell as Helen did.
There was Misaka Wysong
And Brindle Swift
(Brindle's father is Bruno Ruggbyrne)
So Helen had to make herself extra special for Marcell
if she wanted to have him all to herself.
She found out that he LOVES a Sim that can cook
so she cooked every single meal for him.
He especially loves blueberry pancakes so she made
sure to have them ready for him every morning.
Helen is an excellent cook.
As it turned out she really didn't need to do all that cooking
or knock herself out to be special to Marcell -
he had basically fallen in love with just who she is
from the day they met.
It didn't take long for love to find them.
Believe it or not, but Helen still hadn't had her First Kiss.
And neither had Marcell.
It was quite the special moment for both of them.
They would have loved to get a little making out in after
that First Kiss but Marcell had to dash to his finals.
Helen and Marcell were madly in love with one another but they had a bit of a predicament - Helen was close to graduating and Marcell had just entered college.
Neither one of them wanted Helen to graduate and live somewhere without Marcell so they had to come up with something that would allow them to go off into the real world together.
The only thing they could do is have Helen slow down and take her time in graduating as Marcell accelerated his studies. And of course, with a little help from ME, (cheat, cheat, cheat), they were able to graduate side by side.
Marcell, being the old fashioned Sim that he is, (and really wanting to woo-hoo with Helen but also believing they should wait until they were married), chose to propose the morning of their graduation.

This time they had all the time in the world to make out -
so they did!
And that night it was time to graduate -
Marcell went first.
And then Helen
Helen and Marcell haven't decided where they want to live yet.
Sugar Pine Bay is too far out in the sticks for them.
Marcell's LTW is to be a Captain Hero so he wants to be close to the city. Helen's LTW is to reach her Golden Anniversary but she wants a career too, (she just hasn't decided on what kind of career). They want to get married as soon as possible but like Harley and Sheyenne, they want a small, intimate affair with just family. I dunno, maybe all those big Simski weddings turned off some of the kids to the big, frilly affairs?
Marcell and Helen won't be getting married before Lily and Sheldon either but their nuptials will following close behind!
And another couple on campus fell in love as well -
these two, Autumn Simski and Flick Orbitz!
It was just a matter of time for these two.
And they decided to have their First Kiss while Flick was wearing
the ugliest gym clothes ever!
Had plans for him to change to a better set after his jog
but he and Autumn had other plans before I could get to him.
Autumn and Flick fell in love early on, while they were just starting out as sophomores. They're a lot like Harley and Sheyenne where they preferred to shy away from all the college parties to spend time together. They did enjoy a lot of hiking and loved having dinner with their college friends.
They also went home a lot to hang out with Autumn's parents, Jess and Steele. They spent a lot of time visiting Lily and Sheldon in their new home too.
Flick is a dedicated Knowledge Sim and he made sure Autumn got the good grades, (she's a lot like Lily in that would rather hang out with Flick and do fun stuff instead of her studies), but Flick helped her get done what she had to do and both graduated on the Dean's List and with Honors.
When Flick proposed it was expected by everyone who knew them.
And yes, Steele gave them his blessing!!
Autumn and Flick don't want a wedding at all!
They have a trip all planned as to where they will tie the knot
but they are refusing to tell anyone where that is!!
(Or WHEN they will be doing that!)
Flick was the first to graduate!
And Autumn was right behind him!
Regardless of what it looks like,
Autumn did graduate ALL THE WAY!!
