Spring finally arrived to Melanie and Trevor's lot.
Sure seemed like one loooooong, cold winter for them and the whole family welcomed spring with a new-found bounce in their step.
And just so happened they had something exciting to celebrate on that first day of spring - Trevor made it to the top of the medical biz and came home from work as Chief Of Staff!
And that's not the only exciting news -
three birthdays arrived and Melanie decided it was time to make a certain dream come true for herself.
First thing Melanie did was give herself a makeover for spring.
No, that's not the dream she wanted to come true but she did feel like it was time for a change. She was a little nervous about the new hairstyle, if Trevor would like it or not, but as it turned out she had nothing to worry about - he LOVED it!!
I think she's looks really good!
Melanie's new look will go along great with the new BUSINESS that's she starting!
Yep, Melanie bought herself a bakery and she's going to sell her yummy desserts. It's also a gift shop where she'll be selling her handmade crafts. She's been wanting to open a business to sell her own creations for as long as she can remember and now it's becoming a reality.
The name of the Bakery/Gift Shop is Crafty Confections.
She hasn't opened the doors yet as she's working her butt off in getting her inventory done. And she hasn't given up her position as Education Minister either so she's really burning the candle at both ends.
It's not uncommon to find her up sewing her quilts
into the wee hours of the morning!

Her mother, Marge, has been a HUGE help
in working on all the baking, (she's an excellent baker!)
And when Marge can't be in the kitchen baking, then Melanie is.
She wants to open the shop with a big variety of goodies and so far
her and her mother have baked up tons of delicious confections!
Trevor has even helped out with creating floral bouquets to sell in the shop.
The whole family is pitching in to help make Melanie's new business a big success and I have a feeling it will be. They're certainly putting their heart and soul into it.
Along with the exciting news of Melanie's new business was the news of their twins teening up!
Both came home with A+'s and even though she's super busy with sewing, crafting, baking and everything else for the new shop, she put together some fun plans for the twins birthday.

Then Melanie found out from Marge that Meghan had a birthday at the same time!
With everything so busy and all about the bakery Melanie had totally forgotten about Meghan teening up. She felt really bad about that too but Meghan didn't know so no harm done.
Melanie was quickly included her niece's birthday to the party plans.
With life being so hectic in preparation with the new business they planned a low-key birthday celebration.
Of course Tabitha came and everyone was thrilled to see her. Since she went off to college the family was feeling a bit blue not having her at home. Melanie and Trevor talk to her just about every day on the phone but her studies keep her pretty busy, not allowing her much time to come and visit.
This particular visit she brought along Courtney and then someone no one had met yet - his name is Liam Sherwood.
Tabitha was anxious to introduce Liam to her family because she'd finally met a guy that sparked her interest. As a matter of fact she was super sweet on Liam and he seemed just as sweet on her.
Liam is related to Nicole's son, Dominic - they're cousins! Dominic's dad, Darren, is the brother to Liam's mother, Monet. Monet recently moved to the Pleasantview area after living on one of the vacation islands for many years. She'd been laid off her job and figured a new start away from island living would provide a much needed change and also be better for Liam. As a matter of fact, Monet and Liam moved into a house with Dominic, (one that he purchased right after graduating college), and Monet is still her nephew's room-mate, (update on the them coming soon).
So, anyway, Tabitha was very excited to introduce Liam to her family, but she was also really nervous about it. She'd never brought a boy home before and she was worried her parents, (especially her dad), might not like him.
As it turned out, Melanie and Liam got along fine!
Trevor was at work when Tabitha showed up with him, so she was still worried if Liam would be accepted.
And I won't mention the 3 bolt attraction that Melanie and Liam shared,
(which he also has with Tabitha), lol.
Tabitha's brothers liked Liam too!
Tyler liked him so much he just had to sit in-between him and Tabitha when they were hanging out on the couch.
Of course Tabitha wasn't too happy about her little brother barging in but there wasn't much she could do about it.
Little siblings can be such a pain!!
Trevor ended up working late so as soon as he got home the birthday celebration began. There was no time for Liam and Trevor to get to know each other.
And so the party began!!
Even though it was Michael who was the first twin born, Matthew jumped in front of the cake to teen up first.
He was a lot more excited about teening up than Michael was!

And right after Matthew teened up Liam made his move on Tabitha -
giving her a great BIG squeeze!!
As you can seen, Matthew approved!
But Tabitha, as happy as she was to finally fall in love with Liam, worried about how her parents would react after seeing it happen right in the middle of the birthday party.
Trevor was the first to make a bee-line over to the two of them and Tabitha had no idea what to expect
Would he scold them, throw Liam out of the house
or maybe something even worse?
As it turned out, she had nothing to worry about.
Trevor is a bit more easy-going about these things than Brad Simski is, lol.
First thing Trevor did was start telling Liam a dirty joke and then the two of them began chatting it up about Fitness.
Tabitha was VERY relieved that her dad wasn't mad but she was also disappointed, she was hoping for that First Kiss with Liam.
But there just wasn't time for any First Kisses.
After Michael watched his twin brother teen up he was anxious to do it too!

And then it was Meghan's turn!!

All three kids teened up really well!
The twins are Knowledge and Meghan is a Family Sim.
It will be awhile before they head off to college and they all have a good amount of skills to work on too.
With the birthdays over Tabitha was anxious to get Liam all to herself, maybe go hang outside and have that First Kiss!
But when she looked for Liam she couldn't find him -
but then she did find him,...at the table having a "talk" with Trevor.
As cool as Trevor was about Liam giving his daughter that "squeeze" right in the middle of the birthday celebration he still wanted to have a little talk with Liam to set the boy straight on what he and Melanie expect from a young man that wants to be with his daughter.
Luckily Liam was really good about it and even respected Trevor for having the talk with him. Of course Tabitha was quick to go over and join them at the table.
She wanted to know EVERYTHING that her dad and Liam were talking about.
It was quite a night of celebrations for Trevor and Melanie.
Their twins were teens now as was Melanie's little niece, Meghan.
But having their daughter, Tabitha, fall in love with a young man right before their eyes was kinda tough to accept.
When Trevor looked over and saw Tabitha gazing at Liam with those "Love Stars" in her eyes it took everything he had to not tear up.
Seemed like yesterday when she was she looking at him that way, her Super Hero Daddy who could do no wrong.
He knew the day would come when his only daughter would fall in love but it just seemed like it was happening too soon!!
But he did like Liam, what he knew of him so far anyway,...he would just have to learn how to let go, (but just a little bit).
