Darren didn't call before heading to Nicole's to give her the horrible news that Ruby had passed away. He'd gotten the news from Nick an hour earlier and as it happened, Dominic was hanging out at his house when the call came in. It was a short call, to the point and then Nick just,...hung up.
Darren delivered the crushing news to Dominic.
His son showed little to no reaction, just sitting there on Darren's living-room sofa staring into his dad's face. When Darren attempted to put a comforting arm around his shoulders he pushed him away, delivering a sharp jab into Darren's rib-cage, then jumping to his feet and bellowing at his father, "DON'T TOUCH ME!".
