Life is quite busy for them -
Brad has a lot going on at work, being Mayor is a demanding bitch of a job but he has the dedication and passion to fuel positive action.
In the days and weeks to come a lot will be taking place in regard to certain changes being made to end the ever-growing wave of organized crime that has some parts of Pleasantview drowning in a sea of corruption.
But more on that in future updates,....
The day arrived for the twins to kid up and a party was planned.
Sammy, Nick and their kids were invited but they had to decline -
Ruby's back surgery was taking place the same day and they needed to be there for her. Sammy did stop by that morning with gifts for the twins and her and I enjoyed catching up on things, (been forever since we'd seen each other!)
That afternoon Harley, Hunter's son, came home from school with Sheyenne.
His family was coming to the party so the two of them figured Harely could come over after school with her and they could hang out together and do their homework.
Sheyenne and Harley have been friends since they were itty bitty
and have basically grown up together.
They get along really well.
And you know how teenagers can be,
when there's homework to be done they can come up with all kinds of things
to do that's NOT their homework.
Not sure Brad would approve of Harley tickling Sheyenne.
Funny how things like that is cool when they're kids but as teens,
well, sometimes stuff like that can lead to other things.
Like thinking about each other in a way that daddy Brad
and mom Shaye would NOT approve of!!
Thoughts like that end up leading to,...well
......holding hands.
Ummm,....
probably not the best idea for Harley to have with Sheyenne-
Brad is pretty darn protective when it comes it his daughters!

Oh no,....
See what happens when a couple of teenagers end up all alone together?
Brad and my Simself are at work, Courtney is still in school
and the twins are at daycare
So right there at the curb Sheyenne and Harley have their First Kiss
and they fall in love!
A parent's worst nightmare for sure!!
I mean, what could be worse?
Okay, that's close enough there kids!
Time to STEP away from each other!!
Sheyenne, Harley,...
that's quite enough!
You've had your First Kiss, that is sufficient!
ARGH!!!
Okay, now I see the father/son resemblance between Hunter and Harley!
Kids, a school bus just pulled up alongside you -
Sheyenne, that means little sister Courtney,
(that YOU are in charge of watching after school),
is home and she surely doesn't need to see THIS!!
Well, luckily Sheyenne and Harley were able to pry themselves apart just in time for Courtney to get off the school bus.
She was so excited to see Harley! (She has a HUGE crush on him).
First thing she asked him is if he'd go play catch with her but he said he couldn't because he and Sheyenne had to get started on their homework.
Seems logical enough I guess and Courtney decided she'd go do her homework too, (hoping afterwards Harley would play some catch with her).
Courtney's one smart cookie I tell ya, (most likely a Knowledge Sim), she zipped through her homework lickedy-split, getting it all correct of course, and then ran off to find Harely for that game of catch.
Can't say the same for Sheyenne or Harley though.
They blew off their homework to do something else.
Not very smart at all,....
Only two teenagers would do something like this -
totally ignoring the fact that a LITTLE SISTER is in the house!
And leave it up to two teenagers to be so wrapped up in themselves that they
don't hear the VERY LOUD helicopter land on the street right outside the house dropping Brad home from work.
But you CAN leave it up to a little sister to run right out there and tattle to
her daddy all about big sister kissing a boy on the couch!!
I'm fairly certain Brad's blood pressure hit the roof when he saw
his sweet, innocent daughter being ravaged by his best friend's teenage son.
First reaction -
RIP the kid's heart out with his bare hands!
Sheyenne and Harley didn't even notice Brad
was standing there watching them.
I'm surprised they couldn't hear the smoke comin out of his ears!!
They just kept on huggin, kissing and squeezin!
It was too much for Brad to take in -
he had to cover his eyes!
Oh, such such silly teens!
They have NO idea the dragon they just unleashed.
But they're about to find out,...
Let the lecturing begin!
I won't even repeat some of the things Brad said -
yes, they were that awful and angry!
One thing he did do, (and at the top of his lungs),
was declare right then and there that
he FORBADE Sheyenne to EVER see Harley again!
And he wanted Harley
OUT OF HIS HOUSE RIGHT NOW!
Of course Sheyenne ran off in tears.
Here I think Brad's fury confused him some.
Instead of lecturing to Harley about the evils of "Making Out",..
he started going on about "Make-UP".
Oh well, I can understand, I mean under the circumstances
it would be easy for any of us to get muddled up on the issues a little bit.
And Harley's response didn't help matters AT ALL!
And it was right about this time that my Simself got home
from work with the twins.
I put them down for a nap and then went over to see
just what the heck was goin on!!
Of course I found Sheyenne in a state of total teenage girl freak out mode.
My Simself tried her best to comfort her
and at the same time find out what happened.
It was not easy!
With Sheyenne crying and Brad arguing with Harley
is was near impossible to get the whole story.
It was Courtney who piped up with all the details -
of course.
And that didn't help much.
It was a bad situation, that's for sure!
The drama lasted for quite some time and nothing was resolved.
Sheyenne kept sobbing and screaming at the top of her lungs
that she loved Harley and there was nothing anybody could do
to stop her from being with him!!!
Harley basically said the same thing which helped NOTHING!
Brad stomped around, yelled and desperately looked to my Simself for answers,
which of course I didn't have -
there are no easy answers to things like this.
And there was a PARTY starting in a matter of less than an hour!
Why, oh WHY do these kinds things ALWAYS
happen right before a big group of people are due to
show up at the door for a special, put-on-a-happy-face kinda occasion?
Will Brad being able to handle a party
or will he lose any shred of composure he might have
and kick Harley's snotty teenage butt straight into the next week?
Will Sheyenne be able to stop blubbering and get it together?
Will Courtney go around telling
ANYONE and EVERYONE at the party what happened?
(Of course she will!)
