The Farmer Takes A Wife

Well, actually there is no farmer and no one takes a wife in this post.
I just liked the "sound" of that for a title so went with it, lol.

This is a post about Sheldon.

You know who he is and if you don't, then you're very new to my Simski stories.
Sheldon is as close to being an original Simski as any Sim can get.
He first came to Pleasantview as one of Melanie and Trevor's room-mates,
 which he still is.

He knows just about everybody and as much as he gets on the last nerve of everyone he knows, he's dearly loved by all.

He's attended everyone's weddings and is invited to most of the birthday parties.
His life is not without friends to hang with but one thing that is missing from Sheldon's life is a Sweetheart.

He doesn't pine about it too much but watching everyone around him fall in love, get married and start a family gets him to feeling rather lonely at times.

And,... Sheldon's bored, (out of his mind).
All work and no play makes for a very dull Sheldon!!

He really misses Leonard.

Even-though they bickered like an old married couple most of the time,
they were BFF's and since he moved out of Melanie's and Trevor's lot,
Sheldon's been extra bored and it upsets him that every time he calls Leonard
to try and get together and do something,  he never has the time for him.

Leonard moved in with his girlfriend and we all now what happens
when our friends hook up with their lovers - we never see them again.
And such is the case for Sheldon.

He finally got to the point that he refuses to call him anymore
leaving it up to Leonard to initiate getting together.
Tough thing is, Leonard never does.

So Sheldon decided to make some changes in his life.

He was really tired of always having to sit with the kids at weddings and parties.
The time had come for Sheldon to start sitting at the
"Grown Up Sim Table Of Life"!

He just wasn't sure how to do that.

Seems everytime he looked around
he was always automatically hanging out with a kid somewhere.

And the closest he could get to a member of the opposite sex seemed to
always be with other married Sims or once again, kids or teenagers!

It got so bad he was starting to get the urge to flirt with the teenage paper girl!!

Which this particular paper girl is now in college -
oh yeah, it was definitely time for Sheldon to take some steps forward!

He thought some new hobbies might help.

He tried his hand at golf
and with some practice, got pretty darn good at it.

He took up gourmet cooking and mastered that very well.

But none of the hobbies were enough to fill the void.

Something bigger than himself was missing in his life.

He really missed Betty!

His beloved Cow Plant

After Betty made a snack out of Shea Johnston
there was no way Sheldon was ever going to reunite with her!

But having Shea's ghost scare the heebie-jeebies out him
did add a little excitement to his life!

And he didn't want to hang out at cemeteries
with dead Sims to get excitement in his life.

Deep down Sheldon knew exactly what he needed to be happy.
He got so bothered by his dilemma that he took it to Trevor and had a talk
with him about it, asking Trevor what he thought he should do
in order to meet the Sim of his dreams.

Trevor had a couple of suggestions.

First one he told Sheldon that making himself over
might not be such a bad idea.
It would give him a bit of an ego boost
which in turn might make him feel better about things.

So that's exactly what Sheldon did.

I think he looks good.
He didn't get a drastic make-over,
just some new clothes and a different hair cut,
but it's an improvement.

The second suggestion that Trevor had for him
was that he might use the Crystal Ball and get himself a date.
After-all, that's how he and Melanie met
and they've been blissfully happy for a long time now.

At first Sheldon thought using the Crystal Ball was an AWFUL idea!

But the more he thought about it, the more it looked like a good idea.
He certainly wasn't meeting any potential girlfriends any other way.

It couldn't hurt.

So he decided he would.
And he did.

The five choices of Sim ladies that came up for him
were interesting but there was ONE that stood out from all the rest.
And she was the one he chose for his date.

Suppose you'd like to find out who his date was, eh?

Stay tuned and you will!!

Who can it be now?
